Wedding!!!

I am so honored to serve as a bridesmaid in my friend's upcoming wedding!  She had asked if I would make their initials (E & E).  I made the letters using svg files from SVG Cuts.com and found svg files for the dress and tux (I forgot where I found these to give credit to them!)  I added a veil made with tulle and ribbon.  Such a fun project and I think the bride liked it! :)

Etched Items

I also really enjoy etching on glass.  Last year, I gave casserole dishes etched with names as gifts.   I just etched a vase for a gift in a Razorback theme.

No the best picture, but you get the idea!  :)  I also have some other glass projects in the works, but I don't want to ruin anyone's Christmas surprise, so I'll post after Christmas.

Can't decide what to get that special person on your Christmas list, I'd love to make a custom gift just for them!  3D names or a personalized glass item would make a special gift for that special someone!  Email or call me for information on any items seen here on my blog or just let me know what you have in mind!  klwilliams25@gmail.com

Pumpkins

I must admit that carving pumpkins is not one of my favorite things to do.  Mostly because its messy.  Or maybe its because they aren't made of paper.  Until now... ;)  I created these three pumpkins using files from the Pick a Pumpkin SVG Kit from SVG Cuts.com.  I imported the files into Sure Cuts A Lot and cut them using my Cricut.  I embossed them with my Cuttlebug and inked them using stamp pads.  So much fun and no scooping out pumpkin guts required!  ;)

Ghost Pumpkin (Its hard to see from the picture, but I alternated using cream color with a light orange pattern and inked orange onto cream color cardstock)

Football

Football season is in full swing and our Razorbacks are having a great year!  I wanted to share a Razorback themed 3D name that I made for my nephew Jackson.  Cut out the pieces with my Cricut using the 3D Letters svg files from SVG Cuts.com.  Just click the link at the top of the blog to visit and get some great files!

Fall

The weather is starting to cool off here in Arkansas.  Or at least they say it will tomorrow! :)  Football season is here and soon the trees will be changing and there is nothing prettier than Arkansas in the Fall.  This has gotten me excited about Fall crafting.  Even though I should have been making other Fall items, I couldn't wait to make this Haunted House.  I made it using svg cut files from SVG Cuts.com (you can visit them by clicking the link at the top of the blog) and loved the paper that Mary from SVG Cuts used, so I totally copied hers and used Martha Stewart scrapbook paper.  The house holds three battery operated tea lights.  Here is a video of the house so that you can see it in action:

Also some still photos:

Now to finish a Razorback themed 3D name and some Fall pumpkins that I can actually use right now!  Happy Crafting!

Birthday Party

I had so much fun with Kaitlyn's birthday party this year.  She wanted to have a sleepover.  She was using some birthday money along with money she had saved to buy an iPhone, so I decided to go with an iPhone theme.  I started with the invitations.  I enlisted the help of a friend with an iPhone to text the invitation and take a picture of her iPhone screen.  I printed the picture and mailed them to the guests.

After researching cakes and looking for a good price on an iPhone replica cake, I decided to change directions.  I just couldn't pay $120 for a cake!  So after looking around for ideas online, I decided to buy cupcakes and dress them up with wrappers and picks.  When I went to Walmart to order the cupcakes, I also ordered a petite cake to go on the top of the cupcake tree.  I made a large pick that says "Happy Birthday Kaitlyn".  Since I only had 12 cupcakes and the cupcake tree holds more, I wrapped pink and green feather boas around the bottom.

I decorated with zebra print, pink, and lime green tissue paper pom poms (got this cute idea from a co-worker).  Found super cute zebra print plates at Party City and used her 3D name that I made previously for extra decoration.

For dinner, I grilled little slider burgers and served french fries out of paper cones.  I made a box to hold the cones.  I also took off the labels on water bottles and replaced them with zebra print duct tape.  The duct tape won't come off even if put in bucket or cooler with ice.  It's such a cute and easy way to dress them up.

After eating, we went on a scavenger hunt.  We went to the mall and found that they frown upon scavenger hunts there.  lol  When we got back home, I had each girl blow up a small balloon and they dipped the bottom in chocolate.  Once the chocolate dried, we put a small hole in the balloon and they each had their own chocolate bowl to eat their ice cream out of.

Each guest received a water canteen that I had decorated with their first initial using vinyl.

Overall, I think the party went well and I hope the girls had a good time.  I am still quite freaked out that my baby is a teenager!

Vinyl

I love working with vinyl.  Vinyl can be used in so many different ways.  I have made my own car decals, wall decor, gifts, etc.  Currently I'm working on party favors for my daughter's birthday, so you will see that project next month.

I used my Cricut to cut out vinyl letters for a quote above my front door.
I also decorated my plain cake carrier with circles.

Vinyl is easy to work with and can be used in so many different ways!

Today is my birthday.  I only tell you that because I want to share with you how exciting my week has been!  First of all, I got a Cuttlebug for my birthday!  I haven't had a chance to use it other than to just test it out, but I can't wait to emboss with it.  I think it is going to allow me to add a little extra special elements to my paper projects!  Second, although this has nothing to do with my birthday, I was excited to find out that I won a $10 SVG Cuts gift card in a contest they were having along with Pazzles!  I get most of my ideas and SVG files from SVG Cuts.com.  It is ran by a couple, who go above and beyond for their customers.  Mary is so gifted and creates the awesome files and Leo takes the pictures, videos, and website stuff.  They are both so gifted and sweet.  If you want to learn more about SVG Cuts, check out the ad at the top of my blog!  I can't wait to go shopping on the website and use my gift card!

Also, don't forget to add your email at the bottom of the blog to get an email each time I post a blog!

3D Letters

My latest paper creation is 3D letters.  These are so fun to make and decorate.  The first set I made was for a wedding gift for my niece.  I created her new last name and decorated the letters in zebra print paper and fun things like feathers, flowers, and jewels.
After seeing it, my daughter wanted her name for her room.  Not the best picture, but here it is...
